Misplaced Plant Design with Kija Lucas & Studio Mondine

Main Entrance, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture

Saturday, April 22, 2023

Join artist Kija Lucas and floral designer Amanda Luu of Studio Mondine for a free workshop focused on tabletop plant design!

Start at The Guardhouse, meet exhibiting artist Kija Lucas and learn about her new photographic work.

Then, the artist and floral designer Amanda Luu of Studio Mondine will share how they each approach composition, scale and color in their work.

You’ll learn basic "flower mechanics" before transforming introduced, misplaced (non-indigenous) plants and other materials into your own tabletop design.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a chance to capture a "still life" image documenting your tabletop design against a photography backdrop for posterity.
